May 11, 2012 Evelyn Bryan "Mama Bird" Johnson Dies at 102

Evelyn Bryan Johnson has died at the age of 102.

Known as "Mama Bird," she is in the National Aviation Hall of Fame.

Mama Bird took up flying in 1944, and then began teaching and teaching and teaching others to fly. [She gave another Tennessee legend (former Senator Howard Baker) his private flight test.]
